Copper sculptures are typically created using two primary methods: casting and forging. Each method imparts distinct qualities and characteristics to the final artwork.

Cast Copper Sculptures:

Process: Copper is melted into a liquid and poured into a mold. Once the copper cools and solidifies, the sculpture is cleaned and finished.

Characteristics: This method allows for the creation of sculptures with intricate details and predetermined shapes and sizes. The casting process is ideal for reproducing complex designs and achieving a high level of precision in the final product.

Forged Copper Sculptures:

Process: Forged copper sculptures use copper plates as the main raw material, often supported by steel skeletons. The process involves shaping the copper through hammering or pressing, either using a one-to-one mold for complex designs or directly according to a mold skeleton for simpler forms.

Characteristics: Forged copper sculptures are known for their robustness and the unique textures that result from manual shaping. This method is well-suited for custom designs and can achieve a more organic, handcrafted appearance.

Both techniques offer unique advantages and can be selected based on the desired aesthetic, detail, and structural requirements of the sculpture.
